Kewaunee County Youth Soccer Association - Kids having fun playing soccer!
General Program Information > Coaches

Become a coach!
The KCYSA program could not exist without the time and talents of volunteer coaches. This requires a small investment of your time, but is vital to the success of the soccer program in Kewaunee County.  The game of soccer is not complicated, and new coaches receive training on the rules of the game.  So even if you have no soccer knowledge or coaching experience, please consider being a coach.  If you are interested in making many kids VERY HAPPY, then this job is for you!!

A minimum of two (2) non-related persons and a maximum of three (3) coaches will be recognized as official for each team. The Head Coach must be at least eighteen years of age. ALL coaches MUST have the SAY Volunteer Application on file (a new one each year) PRIOR to participating in any practice or game. KCYSA reserves the right to decline any applicant for any reason.

Download the 2012 Coach Application here.

MeetingPaperwork For Coaches
ALL coaches must submit the SAY Volunteer Application before you will be allowed to practice with your team. There are also some coaches who have not yet submitted their Coach Application. If you signed up to coach 'online only' when you registered your child, then you need to submit the application. Please contact Brian if you are unsure about the status of your paperwork.

Clinic For Coaches

KCYSA is hosting a coaching clinic put on by Tim Sewell, Green Bay Lightning coach, on Saturday May 5, 2012 from 8 - 10 am,L-C Middle School, Casco.

If you would like to co-coach with someone, you BOTH must make this request when registering. If you do not request a coach, you will be placed with one. Every effort will be made to place new coaches with more experienced coaches. Each coach is provided with a team jersey.

If you are interested in coaching or have any questions, please contact Director of Coaches, Brian Teske at (920) 493-5666 or coaches@kcysa.org.

KCYSA follows the "Times Two Policy" set forth by SAY. This policy ensures that no less than two adults are present at any team function. Failure to implement the Times Two policy can adversely impact a SAYArea’s liability insurance coverage. Team functions include, but are not limited to, games, practices, picnics, etc. While the focus of this policy is the child, it also provides protection for the volunteers as well in the event of misunderstandings. Under no circumstances should the activity take place if only one adult is present.
